music book carnaval der dieren

Come along on a magical journey and truly bring the carnival to life by pressing the musical notes in the sound book 'Carnaval der Dieren' by Jessica Courtney-Tickle.

One day, two brothers discover a door behind a bookshelf leading into a magical world where all the animals talk, dance, and sing. A royal lion greets them, they ask an ancient tortoise for directions, and they parade along in a procession of giant elephants.

The book is one adventure after another. With every turn of the page, the brothers land in a brand-new world filled with new animals and new music. Which animal melody will you press first?

With every animal, you hear an excerpt from the musical piece by Camille Saint-Saëns. At the end of the book, you will find a short biography of the composer along with fun facts about the music. Replay all the excerpts there and read how the instruments and musical techniques make this music so special.
