moppereend

'Moppereend' by Joyce Dunbar is a picture book that brings an instant smile to your face. Duck is grumpy. Her pond has dried up and nobody wants to play with her. At least… that is what she thinks. Because she does not want to dig holes with Dog. Not roll in the mud puddle with Pig. Not crow with Rooster. Not doze with Turtle. Not eat a tasty snack with Goat. So… NOBODY wants to play with her. And then a little gray cloud starts following her around, growing darker and bigger right above her head.

We wonder what kind of cloud this was.
Perhaps a GLOOMcloud.
Maybe a SADcloud.
Or could it be… was it…
a GRUMPYDUCKcloud.
It might block out the sun forever.
Unless it could BURST.

Once the cloud bursts, everything turns out fine in this story, which is sure to make you laugh out loud. (Or maybe it is time for a downpour above your own head!) Open the book and enjoy this cheerful story together.
