haba lacing game - animals

The 'Wooden Animals' lacing game by the German brand HABA is a colorful developmental toy for toddlers and preschoolers who love to explore and tinker. With this wooden toy, children playfully learn to recognize shapes and colors as they complete cheerful animals.

This craft set includes 4 sturdy beechwood cards featuring an animal on both sides. Each animal is still missing a few parts. Using the wooden beads and the lacing cord, kids fill in the empty spots to give the animal wings, little paws, or spots. Will they follow the example on the card or come up with their own colorful pattern? Either way, a new animal with its own look appears every single time.

Lacing takes concentration and precision. Little hands practice their fine motor skills as they guide the cord through the openings. At the same time, children learn to name colors and count the beads they use. That makes this lacing game both fun and educational.
