Description

Frances Gilbert adapted Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic children's book 'De geheime tuin' into this charming Gouden Boekje. Brigette Barrager's illustrations make children feel as if they can step right into the garden themselves.

When orphan girl Mary moves into her uncle's big country house, she discovers a home full of secrets. At night, she hears crying in a dark hallway. Outside, she meets Dickon, a magical boy who talks to animals.

One day, with the help of a robin, Mary discovers a secret garden behind a door. Surrounded by a high wall, this place has been forgotten and neglected for years. Will Mary manage to bring the garden back to bloom? Open the pages and discover the secret together!
