djeco card game bata-waf

The card game bata-waf is a battle game for younger children from the French brand Djeco. Looking for a simple way to practice size recognition? The goal of the game is to collect all 36 cards.

How to play the card game bata-waf
Divide all the cards among the players. Everyone takes a stack and places it face down. All players flip their top card at the same time, and the one with the biggest dog wins the round. If players flip dogs of the same size, they must shout "bata-waf!"

Next, they place a card face down on their pile, followed by another card face up. The player who puts down the last card with the biggest dog wins all the cards from that round.

Children who cannot count yet can easily see who wins because they only need to look at the size of the dogs. The biggest dog takes the win.
