Description

'De Boebalas' by author Nancy Bosmans is a tasteful and cozy picture book. It even includes a special recipe.

Neah, Ayah, and Avah visit their Ghanaian grandma. At dinner, she serves them something completely unfamiliar. It looks so different from what they eat at home! Their minds are made up: they definitely do not like this…

Luckily, grandma has a solution. She knows a very special monster: the Boebalas! This sweet creature takes the children on a tasting adventure to discover new flavors, and their own culture along the way.

Curious about the recipe in the back? This colorful picture book about the power of flavors shares the secret to making the delicious Ghanaian dish fufu.
