Bath boats

With the right bath toys, bath time becomes the best playtime of the day. Bath boats bring fun and relaxation to the tub. Boats for the bath come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny dinghies to sturdy cargo ships. These toys let little captains set their imagination free and make up their own stories. Let the boat bob on the waves in the bathtub or wading pool, or dunk it under and pour the water right out. Pick a fleet of stackable Little Dutch bath boats, the tugboats and submarines from Green Toys, or let the Lilliputiens sailboats float happily around the tub.

Bath boats from eco-friendly materials

At ilovespeelgoed.nl, most toy bath boats feature eco-conscious materials. The soft, handmade origami boats from Oli & Carol come from natural Hevea tree rubber. These kid-friendly teething toys are completely biodegradable and colored with natural pigments. The bath boats from Green Toys and Plan Toys are a responsible choice too. Green Toys crafts its tugboats and submarines from recycled plastic milk jugs. Plan Toys uses rubber trees that no longer produce latex as the raw material for its eco-friendly bath toys.

What are the benefits of a bath boat?

Playing with a bath boat benefits children in several ways. A boat for the bath sparks their imagination and invites role-play. They might pretend the boat is a pirate ship and set off on an adventure in their own world. Pushing and steering a bath boat through the water also helps develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Plus, a boat makes bath time more fun and less stressful. Especially for children who dislike taking a bath, it brings relaxation and eases anxiety, turning bath time into a happy play moment after all.

What can you do with a toy bath boat?

The cheerful animal friends from the Belgian brand Lilliputiens brave high waves in their neoprene sailboats. Did the toy boat capsize and fill up with water? Fold the rim over and the bath boat turns into a funnel. Fill the funnel with water and watch it spray out through the little holes! The sturdy tugboats and submarines from Green Toys even feature a handle for easier filling and pouring. The reversible rubber boats from Plan Toys explore the world both above and below the water, flipping into a submarine in a flash. Because these bath toys work in multiple ways, they bring extra water fun to the tub. For the very youngest, there are the Oli & Carol bath boats. Babies love sailing these little boats, and they also work as teething toys to chew and suck on when those first teeth come in.

Clean bath boats

After bath time, give the bath boats a good cleaning to keep soap residue, dirt, and bacteria away. The bath boats at ilovespeelgoed.nl feature recycled plastic, natural rubber, neoprene, and wood. Rinse the toys with clean water, and use mild soapy water for the plastic boats if needed. Wipe the bath boats dry with a cloth and let them air-dry completely. Store the children's toys in a dry spot out of direct sunlight, and the fleet stays shipshape for the next voyage.
