What is FABA?

The FABA storyteller and FABA+ guide children step by step through every stage of development with a rich mix of stories, songs, nursery rhymes, and playful activities. Listening, singing along, and moving to the music take turns and match what kids need right in that moment.

Cozy on the couch at home, on the road in the car, or on an imaginary trip to the moon: FABA goes wherever the day leads. The storyteller invites independent discovery, and it is just as wonderful to enjoy together. That turns every listening moment into a calm, familiar, and adventurous part of the day.

How does FABA work?

FABA keeps things intentionally simple.

1. Pick an audio figure, disc, or audiobook.

2. Place it right on top of the storyteller.

3. FABA starts the audio and plays until you switch or pause it.

This creates a rhythm that children pick up right away: choose it yourself, start it yourself, listen yourself!

FABA+ and the FABA storyteller: the difference

The FABA storyteller focuses on pure listening with audio figures. Manage the library with MyFaba and load new content through a desktop app connected to a computer.

FABA+ makes getting started extra direct. Connect to MyFaba and Wi-Fi, and the device syncs the content so listening can start quickly. FABA+ also includes extra features suited to quiet moments, such as a light and a dedicated routine button, depending on the setting.

Faba•Me: your own audio and playlists

FABA+ comes with Faba•Me, a customizable audio figure. Faba•Me offers space for personal recordings and playlists from the library. Great for a story told in a familiar voice, a personal mix of songs, or a set bedtime sequence.

Why FABA is great for children's development

Listening might seem like a small thing, yet it practices many skills at once. FABA helps most in these areas:

Listening skills and focus

FABA puts sound center stage. Without a screen, a child focuses on voice, rhythm, and pauses. That supports calm listening, even while building, drawing, or working on a puzzle at the same time.

Language and vocabulary

Stories and songs repeat words, sentences, and sounds. Children naturally pick up new words and practice the rhythm of sentences. Repetition helps most of all: a favorite story comes back again and again, giving kids a solid grasp of language.

Imagination and play

Audio doesn't hand out ready-made pictures, so children create the images in their own minds. That fits right into free play and role-play, as the story blends into their own play world.

Emotions and routines

Plenty of the audio fits daily moments, like winding down before sleep or listening to stories about feelings. That lets FABA become a steady part of a calm ritual, after dinner or right before bedtime.

Choosing by age and interest

FABA works wonderfully when you choose by the moment and the character: music for active participation, stories for quiet listening, themes about emotions for recognition, or another language for playful practice. The collection grows right along with the child, keeping everything simple and clear.
